The activities of the Global Child Aid Fundraising Program are far-reaching and our work affects the daily lives of countless ordinary people, from the children, to the parents and all the villages in between, we achieve this through support from our supporters.
Our work currentky takes us to 20 developing countries throughout the world.
We believe that children have the right to shape their future. A key part of our work is to provide children and young people with opportunities to participate in decisions and plans which relate to them. Our work influences issues at every level: from a local community's policy on education and healthcare to the creation of regional coalitions.
An important part of our work is to change policies that have a negative impact on live of children, so that thousands of children can realize their full potential as a result.
We advocate change to policies and practices by influencing National Governments, and working with Politicians and NGO partners.
A fundamental principal of our work is to ensure that children are actively involved wherever possible and appropriate, enabling them to realize their rights and potentials.
It is often a glib thing to say that "Children are our future". But if we cannot offer them a secure/safe childhood with a quality education that enhances their quality of life, we have failed and should hang our heads in shame.
If everyone in wealthy countries gave $50 to children in poor countries we could transform the lives of tens of millions of children overnight.

We believe that children are entitled to
knowledge and understanding about the world they live in. We also believe that children are the decision-makers of the future, and that we should empower them to act as responsible global citizens, able and committed to shaping the world in the interests of all.
We advocate that education is about respect for ourselves and for others - and this comes from appreciating the diversity in our world and the realization that we will change nothing unless we listen to and participate in the debates affecting our communities.
We believe that young people must be given a chance to think for themselves, especially in matters concerning them.
The world has been in turmoil for generations and this turmoil has seen children involved in war, drug dealing and sexual exploitation whilst they also suffer from malnutrition, ill health, HIV/Aids and Malaria.
All of these issues place huge demands on our resources and that is why, more than ever we need your help to try and bring as many children as we can through a troubled childhood to enable them to reach a meaningful adulthood.
