How we care for children in this world, protect their welfare, and prepare them for the future are the most important issues we face during our lifetime. For Child Sake is the website name of an American Charity and Not for Profit Entity that is dedicated to meeting the needs of children in the poorest areas of the world. Our mission is two fold: First, to heighten public awareness of children's issues and the solutions to
their problems. Second, to raise vital funds from public and corporate bodies. We strive to give
children all over the world a fighting chance at a brighter tomorrow and a more fulfilling future.
For far too many children in the world, to imagine a better life is something they simply cannot afford. For them, life is about survival, not about opportunity or dreams of a better tomorrow.
Far too many children in Afica, Asia and Latin America eat one meal a day. Have no access to medical attention. Have no access to schooling. Have to work at aged 10 or 11 to contribute to the family income. Have no hopes, no dreams.
Many live well below the poverty line. Many do not have parents and are often the breadwinner in the family.
Where they have parents often these parents are sick, or who because of their own childhood experiences, know little of what it means to raise a child and so history repeats itself.
For far too many children throughout the developing world, the desperation of their existence is all too real.
